Japan SSW:
simple answers.
What is the SSW visa?
A Japanese work visa for skilled foreign workers in specific sectors. You need Japanese at about A2 level and to pass a skills test for your sector.
Which Japanese test do I need?
Usually JFT-Basic (A2) or JLPT N4. Some sectors, such as nursing care, also need an extra Japanese test.
How long can I stay?
SSW (i) allows up to 5 years in total. Some sectors allow moving to SSW (ii), which can be renewed.
Do I need a degree?
No degree is needed for most sectors, but you must pass the language and skills tests.
Is admission or a visa guaranteed?
No. Universities or employers decide admission, and the embassy decides the visa. We help you prepare a complete, honest application.

next step.
